S wimming can offer so much through out our lives, whether it is fitness and competition based or recreational family time. Water safety is a must around water. This year Swim Lone Star joins forces with Infant Aquatics by Kim to ensure all ages are more safe around the water and are able to have the same life long love of the water that Kim and I have.
Parents are always encouraged to sit on the deck and watch their child’s class. I believe the parent can use the skills taught in the class to help their child practice outside class. The classes are very small, only 4 children per class. I heat the water- it makes learning easier for the children.
I have swam all my life, and still truly love it! I believe competitive swimming granted me opportunjties that likely would have never happened. I swam, lettered, and went to high school state. I continued on and swam at TCU, definitely an awesome experience, and continue to swim today! Swimming offered me fitness, perseverance, goal setting, and the confidence to chase my dreams! I teach children proper technique and show them tricks to make learning easier.
I am a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, ASCA Certified Stroke Technician, ASCA certified Level 3 Coach, USA Swimming level 1 Coach, Head Coach of Decatur's Quest Aquatics and have coached 2 swimmers to TAGS, the USA Swimming age group state championships within Texas.
